State of Connecticut ss. - At a Superior Court holden at Danbury within and
for the County of Fairfield on the 4th Tuesday of September AD 1823.
Upon the Petition of Aaron Turner of the Town of Kent in the County of
Putnam, State of New York dated the 3d day of September AD 1822 -- Shewing
to this Court that on the 1st day of November 1821 the Petitioner, then
residing in North Salem, in the County of West Chester, in said State, held
three Deeds, one of which was signed by Isaac Nicholson, one was signed by
Comfort Castle, and one was signed by Jonathan Osborn, Jonah Osborn, and
John Davis and his Wife, each Deed conveying to the Petitioner an equal
undivided Fifth part of two certain tracts of Land, both lying in the
Parish of Ridgebury in the Town of Ridgefield in said Fairfield County,
One of which lies on both sides of the Highway, contains about thirty five
acres, and is bound on the North by Abigail Abbot's land in part, and in
part by land belonging to the wife of Joseph King, On the East by Caleb
Abbot's land in part, and in part by Highway, On the South in part by land
belonging to Nehemiah Keeler 2d, in part by Thomas Rockwell's land, and in
part by William Ferguson's land, and on the West in part by said Ferguson's
land, in part by said Rockwell's land, and in part by land now or lately
owned by Solomon Enos. --- The other of said pieces contains about four
Acres, and is bounded on the North & West by Highway, on the East in part
by said Thomas Rockwell's land, & in part by sd William Ferguson's land,

That Jonah Osborn late of said Ridgefield Deceased died without issue,
and well seized of said Lands, which on the Death of said Jonah, descended
to his two brothers Gamaliel Osborn and Ezekiel Osborn, and to his three
sisters Abigail, Rebeckah and Sarah to each an equal undivided fifth part
thereof. That said Rebeckah was married to Peter Castle, and that said
Peter and Rebecca both died, leaving Comfort Castle their only Child and
Heir who conveyed all her right, title and interest in said Lands, being
the one equal undivided Fifth part thereof to the Petitioner by Deed of
Quit Claim, dated some time in the Month of June AD 1819. That said
Ezekiel Osborn died, leaving Jonathan Osborn, Jonah Osborn, and a Daughter
who was married to John Davis, who were his only Children and heirs and who
with the said John Davis, conveyed all their right, title, and interest in
said two pieces of Land to the Petitioner, being the one equal undivided
Fifth part thereof by Deed of Quit Claim, dated some time in the Months of
September or October 1818. And that said Abigail Osborn was married to
Ezra Nicholson, and the said Ezra and Abigail did, by Deed of Quit Claim,
convey all their right, title and Interest in said two pieces of land to
said Isaac Nicholson, their son and heir, and the said Isaac Nicholson, by
Deed of Quit Claim, dates some time in the Months of September or October
1818, conveyed to the Petitioner all his right, title & Interest in said
two pieces of Land, being an equal undivided Fifth part thereof; -- And
that on or about the 1st day of November ADd 1821 at North Salem, in the
