Comments

The children shown for Ephraim Osborn-11702 are primarily shown by a deed recorded in Kennebec Co., ME Deed Book 49, page 307. The deed is from Ephraim's widow Lydia and *ten* of his children to Jacob Osborn. The deed essentially shows that the ten persons (besides Lydia Osborn) mentioned are Ephraim's children. Although not mentioned as a son of Ephraim, it would seem likely that Jacob was indeed a son of Ephraim.

Not mentioned in the deed are Ephraim Osborn-11715, Benjamin Osborn-11716, and Josiah Osborn-11718. Karin E. Gower in her information published in Maine Families in 1790 mentions other deeds indicating that Ephraim Osborn-11715 and Josiah Osborn-11718 are sons of Ephraim Osborn-11702. Lincoln, ME vital records (as given by "Maine Index to Vital Records Prior to 1892, 80 Towns" (SLFHL 0009839) show that Benjamin Osborn-11716 was a son of Ephraim Osborn-11715.
