Augusta Co., (W)VA Court Order Book No. 1, page 423, entry dated 28 Aug 1750 (Chronicles of the Scotch-Irish Settlement in Virginia, Lyman Chalkley, p42) shows George Osburn, Jeremiah Osburn, Jeremiah Osburn, Jr., and John Osburn being added to the list of tithables. From approximate ages known for George Osborn-1266, John Osborn-2515, and Jeremiah Osborn-4828 and that they came from this part of Virginia, it is believed that they are sons of the Jeremiah Osborn-12665 mentioned in this entry.

It seems likely that Jeremiah Osborn-12665 is the same person as Jeremiah Osborn[#5482], son of Jeremiah Osborn-5389.
