Comments: Looking for information on Samuel Osborne 1749-1815, ancestors and descendants. And any other Osborne that descended from Capt Thomas Osborne I (Sr), who was the apparent founder of the Osborne family in America. Thomas Osborne I who was born in England about 1580 and came over to America to the Jamestown settlement.

Comments: My father's family is Slovak, but my mother's family and ancestors were all British, through and through except for the time when they were Vikings from Oslo who came to Southwest England during the reign of King Canute.
My 3rd great grandmother was one Elizabeth Osborn. born in 1768 in West Alvington, Devon. Her ancestors were mostly from Ipplepen and Bovey Tracey and possibly from Essex as well if my Tree is correct. I believe my 13th great grandparents to have been Sir Peter Osborne of Tylden Hall, Essex and Anne Blythe, whose Uncle was Dr. John Cheke, tutor to Edward VI and Princess Elizabeth.

Comments: My 3rd great gpa is Abner E Osborn born in Virginia in 1818 married to Elizabeth Wilson. I have descendants but unable to match the accurate father/mother of Abner E Osborn. My great gpa is William Weldon Osborn who was born in Ohio. I bring his name up because I have found an Abner Osburn (1791-1818) married to Mary Weldon in November 1812 in Loudoun VA. I have exhausted searches to confirm if Abner/Mary are Abner E. Osborn parents. This website has been a help in confirming information I have found but still no luck. I am a member of ancestry website and no luck to my ancestors of Abner E. Osborn.
