Comments: I am a descendant of Matthew Ozbun (1661-1738) and his descendants in NC, Matthew II (1697-1783), John (1734-1819), Thomas (_-1825), James (1815- ) Willis (1855-1949)and my grandmother, Mary Loula "Lulu" Osborne (1879-1948). My sister thought doing a family tree would be fun - turns out, it's hard!! I was going nuts with so many repeating surnames and spelling variations even within the same family. This site has been extremely helpful, just wish I had found it sooner. Thank you for all of this valuable work. Happy hunting everyone!

Comments: I am descended from Caleb Osborne (1725-1781) and Hannah Howard. I am interested in finding out the country of origin for the Osborn/Osborne family. My DNA origins are: England, Wales & Northwestern Europe 56% Ireland & Scotland 35% Sweden 5% France 3% Finland 1% I have compared my DNA matches on ancestry (very much an amateur) and find that I share the Finnish origins with other Osborne matches.

Comments: I have been looking for Grandfather Osborn for many years, my own father Athol Stanley Gordon Osborn died May 2018 and took many secrets to the grave with as his father Stanley Harry Osborn remarried in 1946 and no further contact was ever made. As hard as I tried Dad would refuse to talk about his father my grandfather Stanley Harry Osborn. I do know he served in WW2 in the 8th Army. My grandfather had a brother John Cyril Osborn who left for Australia in 1932 and joined the army there. Also he had a sister called Vera Osborn D.o.B 1902
